The front gardens

The gardens are fruit-bearing and include orange, avocado, mango and lemon trees. There's a large terrace overlooking the front of the house and the valley below. The rainy season begins near the end of September, rendering the garden green, verdant and explosively lush. Please note, this photo was taken at the end of the dry season.

The living quarters

The living room leads to a covered terrace, from where you can look out at our gardens and to the city of Kigali. The furniture is comfortable and the house is generally kept pretty cool, even at mid-day.

The dining table seats six comfortably and overlooks the gardens.
